Fully-funded Chevening Scholarship in UK 2023-2024

Applications for a fully-funded Chevening Scholarship in UK 2023–2024 are now being accepted. These fully-funded scholarships are available to international students from commonwealth countries, at any UK university to pursue any master’s programme. For students who wish to pursue a master’s degree at any university in the UK, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Over 1800 scholarships are given out to international students annually. The UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, along with its partner organisations, provide funding for the Chevening Scholarship.

Foreign and Common Wealth Office, as well as Partner Organisations, provide funding for the UK government’s international scholarship scheme, known as Chevening Scholarships. The project offers scholarships to exceptional scholars with the potential to become leaders from more than 160 nations and territories to pursue postgraduate studies at UK universities.

The Chevening Scholarship is awarded for a period of one year (12 months). Emerging global students with ideas and passions are working towards a brighter future during this time. Selected scholars will also get the opportunity to expand their personal networks, explore UK culture, advance their careers and education, and create enduringly beneficial ties with the UK.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria

The requirements listed below must be fulfilled in order for an applicant to apply for the Chevening Scholarship:

  • Hold citizenship in a nation or territory that qualifies for Chevening.
  • After your award has finished, you must return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years.
  • Attained Undergraduate Status
  • Possess a minimum of 2,800 hours, or two years, of job experience.
  • By July 14, 2023, submit applications to three distinct qualifying UK university programmes and secure an unconditional offer from one of these options.

You are not eligible if you:

  • possess refugee status in a nation that is not eligible for CHEVING. Candidates are eligible for a scholarship if they are nationals of a nation that qualifies for Chevening and if they are recognised as refugees in a nation that qualifies for Chevening.
  • Possess dual or British citizenship (unless you are applying from Hong Kong and are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or you hold BN(O)).
  • Are a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, or an employee, former employee, or relative* of an employee (since July 2017) of Her Majesty’s Government (including British embassies/high commissions, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade, the Ministry of Defence, and the Home Office).
  • Employees, former employees, and relatives* of an employee (as of July 2017) of a Chevening Partner organisation may apply, but they are not eligible to earn a Chevening Partner Award from the company they currently work for, were formerly employed by, or have family ties to.
  • have previously received financial support from a UK government scholarship to study in the UK.

Benefits and Coverage of Scholarships

The Chevening Scholarship offers master’s degree candidates full funding. The specifics of its perks, including a stipend and other benefits, are listed below.

Selecting Your Courses

This is a crucial action. Three distinct master’s courses must be chosen. These could be three distinct courses offered by the same organisation or three comparable courses offered by as many as three universities.

Take note: Pick wisely which three courses to take. Once your application has been submitted, you won’t be able to amend it unless you are given permission to during the interview stage. You must apply individually and directly to the university for the courses you have chosen. To guarantee a spot, do submit your application as soon as you can. By July 11th, 2024, you must get an unconditional offer for one of your chosen courses in order to be eligible for a scholarship.

Timeline and Due Date for The Chevening Scholarship 2023-2024

Applications will be accepted starting on September 12, 2023, and must be submitted by November 7, 2023.

  • Applications will then be examined in light of the eligibility requirements.
  • Between mid-November and December, a separate committee ranks the qualified applications based on their scores.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews in early to mid-February.
  • February till the end of April to turn in two references and academic records
  • Interviews will be conducted from 26 February to 26 April 2024.
  • Early June is when the results will be released.
  • The deadline is July 11, 2024, and September/October 20, 2024, for receiving and submitting at least one unconditional offer to a UK university. UK Study Starts
